The much anticipated second official release from xixphos is not what most may have anticipated, but very much a creative punch into a new era mostly untapped by the digital music scene of 2017. It's almost inappropriate to label some of the tunes as 'songs' per se... a few feel more like peanut butter on a saltine wishing for the jelly on the horizon. Like mice revealed from under the covers of pulsation, there are tracks that defy the listener's ability to soak in the dissonance with initially misplaced beats that slide into place soon after they've moved on. An attentively uncommon ear will question this slightly chaotic realm of sounds and beats where vibrancy shines after time spent listening with emptiness in hand.
